Nico started making knives on his farm in Kwazulu in 1998. While he considers himself a part time maker, his skill by no means reflects anything but a professional craftsman. While Nico, still a young man aspires to evolve into a full time knife maker. Still working as a poultry farmer, Nico looks forward to his quiet time in the workshop. He enjoys traveling to local knife shows, as well as an occasional trip to the US.

Nico enjoys making folders. He now specializes in Damascus folders. Using natural materials such as Mammoth ivory, gold, Mokume steels and other compositions. Availability is limited, but these knives are worth waiting for!
